Welcome to Divvy.Social, a registered business of MK & AS Services Pty. Ltd. ABN 27 613 126 962. By using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Divvy.Social platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions, then you may not access the website or use any services.
2. Description of Service
Divvy.Social provides an intuitive platform for splitting bills and managing group expenses. Users ("Legends") can create tabs, allocate costs, and invite friends ("Peeps") to pay their share. All payment processing is securely handled by Stripe.
3. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
4. Payments and Fees
Divvy operates on a "Legend-First" model. The creator of the Divvy (the "Legend") will receive their specified net amount. Transaction and platform fees are added on top of the allocated amount and are paid by the "Peeps". Our payment processing is facilitated by Stripe, and users are also bound by Stripe’s services agreement.
5. Divvy.Social as a Technology Platform
Since our Legends aren't vetted businesses, you acknowledge and agree that:
- The Legend is responsible for the accuracy of the "Divvy" and requested amounts.
- Divvy.Social is a technology platform, not a bank or financial institution.
- Any disputes between Legends and Peeps are social matters, though we provide "Gross-up" transparency to prevent them.
- We only handle the Divvy.Social layer; all financial disputes and relationships are handled between the Legend, the Peep, and Stripe.
6. Limitation of Liability
MK & AS Services Pty. Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the service.
